Limitless - 'Personality Crisis'

Brian explains things to himself in terms he can understand.
Following on from his discoveries last week, Brian wakes to find a video from 'Pill Brian', explaining why he can't tell Rebecca that the FBI has files on her dad's NZT use without his best case scenario bring to be dropped into Supermax and stepped on. He can't be 'happy fun guy' anymore; he has to be badass Brian, which not-Pill Brian interprets as a call for a wardrobe change.

The team go after a meth lab, and after his extensive recall of Enter the Dragon proves little help in a real fight, Brian is assigned to SWAT self-defence training with supercool, superbadass SWAT leader Casey, who also turns out to be Rebecca's secret sweetie, something Brian picks up on without any fuss, which I applaud. I like that Brian and Rebecca can be close colleagues and friends without UST baggage. Of course, there is some baggage, namely that secret Brian is now keeping, which is soon compounded after the investigation takes a swing into counter-terrorism and Brian is pressed to make unkeepable promises in order to coerce a CI, who then ends up dead.

Despondent and off his pills, Brian makes an informed if not hyper-intelligent decision to reach out to his only friend; even if it lands him in supermax and under a boot.
