Supergirl - 'Livewire'

When CatCo shock jock Leslie Willis takes a swing at Supergirl, Cat moves to protect a franchise in which she feels invested, shunting former protege Leslie to the traffic copter. A storm downs the chopper; Supergirl rescues the pilot, but in trying to save Leslie is struck by lightning channeled through Supergirl, transforming her into a white-skinned metahuman with power over electricity. Blaming Cat for her condition, she comes gunning for the media mogul, pushing Supergirl to defend her.

Meanwhile, Kara has to survive a family Thanksgiving with her mother blaming Alex for not keeping her from being Supergirl. She thinks that Alex should tell their mother that she is a secret agent working to protect Kara, which eventually she does, precipitating a revelation that their father died while working for the DEO as part of a deal to keep Kara out of the Department's clutches.

In soap news, Winn is still crushing on Kara, who is crushing on James, who is spending Thanksgiving with Lucy Lane. I predict a maximum of half a season before Winn disastrously rebounds onto a supervillain.
